Paravel Warranty

10 yearsAviator suitcases only, registered within 30 days

The Paravel warranty covers Aviator suitcases bought from paravel.com on or after October 8, 2026, for 10 years against defects in materials and workmanship.

You have to register within 30 days of purchase and keep your proof of purchase. Bags and accessories are not covered, airline damage is not covered, and nothing bought before the relaunch is covered, whoever sold it.

Is My Paravel Covered?

Two answers decide it: when the suitcase was bought, and who sold it.

What the Paravel Warranty Covers

The cover is narrow: a fault in how the suitcase was made. Most of what goes wrong with luggage on a trip falls on the other side of the line.

Covered

Faults caused by defective materials or workmanship on an Aviator Carry-On, Carry-On Plus, Grand or Trunk, for 10 years from the purchase date.

If Paravel accepts the claim, it repairs the suitcase or, at its discretion, replaces it. The Aviator's wheels, handle and TSA lock are designed to be repaired, so a repair is the likely outcome.

You pay to ship the case to Paravel's repair centre, because cover is only confirmed after inspection.

How to Register and Make a Paravel Warranty Claim

One registration, one form. The part people miss is the 30-day window at the start.

  1. Within 30 days of buying

    Register the suitcase

Use the link in your post-purchase email or the registration form on paravel.com. You get a confirmation email back; keep it with the order email.

  2. When something fails

    Find your proof of purchase

A receipt or order confirmation works best. Paravel may accept a bank or card statement that clearly shows the purchase. Without proof, no claim goes ahead.

  3. Same day

    Fill in the claim form

Paravel uses one claim form wherever you are. Describe the fault; clear photos of it and of the whole case make the review easier.

  4. After review

    Ship it for inspection

Customer care replies with next steps. If they ask for the case, you pay to send it to the repair centre; they then repair or replace it.

If an Airline Damaged Your Suitcase

Paravel's warranty excludes airline damage, so the claim goes to the airline. Before leaving the airport, report the damage at the airline's baggage service office and get a written report with a file number. Photograph the damage and keep your bag tag.

On international trips, the Montreal Convention gives you 7 days from receiving the bag to complain in writing. US airlines set their own deadlines for domestic flights, often short, so report on the spot. Travel insurance, or the baggage cover on some credit cards, can pay for what the airline won't.

If You Own an Older Paravel

Bags bought before October 8, 2026 came from the previous company, which closed in May 2025. The new Paravel does not accept claims for them and does not stock their parts.

Your practical route is an independent luggage repair shop, which can usually replace spinner wheels, a telescopic handle or zip pulls on an original Aviator. Bring the case so they can match the wheel housing. For the full story, read what happened to Paravel.

Paravel Returns: 28 Days

Not a warranty matter, but often confused with one. You can return unused items bought from paravel.com within 28 days of delivery, in their original packaging and in saleable condition.

  • Email customerservice@paravel.com with "Return request" in the subject, and include your name, phone number, collection address, order number, the items and the reason.
  • Paravel books a courier to collect suitcases; bags and accessories go back by post with an emailed label.
  • Refunds go to the original payment method or as store credit. Paravel's pages call returns free but also mention a handling fee taken from the refund, so ask before you send.
  • There are no exchanges: return the item and order again.

Before you register

Check the suitcase over in its first week: roll it on all four wheels, extend the handle to each height, set the lock code and open and close it a few times. Faults found then can go back as a return; after 28 days they become a warranty claim.

Paravel Warranty Questions

How long is the Paravel warranty?

10 years from the purchase date, on Aviator suitcases bought from paravel.com on or after October 8, 2026, and registered within 30 days.

Does Paravel have a lifetime warranty?

No. The current warranty is 10 years. Original-era Paravel luggage came with a limited warranty, listed as 5 years in 2020 and 10 years by 2023. That warranty ended with the old company.

Does the warranty cover my Paravel bought in 2024?

No. Paravel says it cannot accept claims for products bought before October 8, 2026, from the brand's previous owner.

Is a Paravel bought on Amazon covered?

Not by Paravel. The new collection is sold only at paravel.com, and the warranty excludes resellers who are not authorized Paravel retailers. Original-era stock on Amazon predates the warranty anyway.

Does the Paravel warranty cover airline damage?

No. Damage from airlines or other carriers is excluded, including cracks, dents and broken wheels. Report it to the airline before you leave the airport.

What if I forgot to register within 30 days?

Paravel says the warranty must be registered within 30 days. If you missed it, contact customer care with your order details and ask; they decide.

Is the Signature Canvas Tote covered?

No. The warranty covers Aviator suitcases only. The tote, packing cubes and luggage tag fall under the 28-day returns policy.

Who pays shipping for a warranty repair?

You do, for sending the suitcase to Paravel's repair centre. Paravel confirms whether the fault is covered only after inspection.
