Will the Paravel Carry-On Fit a 22 x 14 x 9 Sizer?
American, Delta, United, JetBlue and Alaska print a 22 x 14 x 9 inch carry-on limit. Pick a bag to see each side against that box. The dark mark on each bar is the limit.
What the numbers mean at the gate
On paper the new Carry-On is 0.2 inch wider than a 14 inch limit and inside it on height and depth. A rigid shell cannot squeeze, so a strict agent with a metal sizer could ask you to check it. Reviewers of the original Carry-On, which was narrower, reported no trouble in US overhead bins. Paravel itself says it never guarantees fit because allowances vary by airline.
The Carry-On Plus is a different decision
The new Carry-On Plus is larger than 22 x 14 x 9 on every side. It suits Southwest and Frontier, whose limit is 24 x 16 x 10, and long-haul cabins with bigger bins. Owners of the original Plus said it fit most US bins but was gate-checked on small regional jets and was too big for some European airlines.

Why Paravel Carry-On Sizes Differ Online
Search for the Aviator Carry-On's size and you will see 21.7 x 13.7 x 9, 21.6 x 14.2 x 9.0, 22 x 14 x 9 and a few figures that match nothing. Three things explain it.
- Two generations. Most reviews and retailer pages describe the original Aviator, launched in autumn 2019. The relaunched Aviator from October 2026 is a new design with a refined ribbed shell and slightly different proportions.
- Rounding. Paravel's own set pages round the new Carry-On to 22 x 14 x 9 inches, while the product page gives 21.6 x 14.2 x 9.0.
- Copied numbers. Some look-alike sites publish sizes that appear in no Paravel or retailer source. Trust the product page or a tape measure.
What Fits Inside a Paravel Carry-On
Paravel suggests the Carry-On for three to four days of clothing and the Carry-On Plus for roughly four to five. Inside are a compression board, striped webbing straps with a Paravel clip and two interior pockets. The lining is recycled polyester in the brand's signature stripe.
The 2026 Paravel packing cubes are scaled to the Aviator, and the Signature Canvas Tote has a back sleeve that slides over the telescopic handle, so the tote rides on the suitcase through the terminal.
